These surgical illustrations depict two steps in a unilateral salpingo-oophorectomy surgery where the ovary and uterine tubes will be surgically removed. The first image shows the creation of a superficial window in the avascular triangle of the broad ligament and the second image shows where the surgeon will ligate and transect the infundibulopelvic ligament in order to remove the ovary.
